We are so happy to have you worship with us. We hope you feel welcome!
To help you acclimate, we will send you a series of communications to acquaint you with some of the tools, processes, and resources available here at Open Door. There is a lot to digest, so we’ll try not to overwhelm you.
First up: Our top priority is to serve you wherever you are in your faith journey - let us know how we can help you. The best first step is getting you better connected with church people and resources.
1. Get connected through the Church Center app. This app is the hub of information for our church. It’s the place to explore, engage, and get involved with the church throughout the week. See a calendar of events, register for events, give, browse the directory, and more! Get started by downloading the Church Center app .
Once you have the app, it’s time to explore all you can do through the app. You can’t hurt anything, so start clicking.
2. RightNow Media is the world’s largest streaming library of video Bible study resources. These Bible study videos can be used as part of a group study or for personal devotions, and many series include free discussion guides and handouts. And make sure to check out the awesome children’s library!
Open Door has made this resource FREE for all. To get started, visit https://app.rightnowmedia.org/join/opendoornc , create your free account, and browse more than 20,000 inspiring videos. We pray that RightNow Media will bless you and your family!
3. One Single Story . In 2022, our church read through the chronological Bible together. Beginning in 2023, we’re once again reading through the Bible, but this time we’re focusing on the theme of each of the 66 books by looking at specific texts each day that point to the theme. Join us! You can download a journal from Amazon that corresponds to the readings. Or go to onesinglestory.com and find the reading plan there.

We hope you’ve been exploring the resources we sent you in our first email. You can use those resources daily to grow in your faith.

While you’re exploring the website, make sure you visit the events registration page and sign up to attend Growth Track. Open Door Growth Track guides you to discover God's unique purpose for your life and how to live the life that He has created for you. It is the new gateway to all serving opportunities at Open Door Church.
Between our website and the Church Center app, you’ll have access to almost everything you need to really get connected.

Thinking about your next steps?
You should have a pretty good feel for who we are by now. If volunteering or investigating life groups or specialty groups is your Next Step, you’ll need to use the Church Center app we told you about in our first email.
Don’t tell me you didn’t download the Church Center app yet! We believe in second chances, so here’s the link you need.
When you open Church Center, you’ll immediately see where you can connect to a Life Group or let us know in which area you’d like to volunteer. Those are the best ways to start building relationships.
Be sure to check out the church calendar for a listing of all our regular and special events. Hanging out with fellow attendees is at the top of the list for getting you connected.

Online giving; we're all in this together
This is the final introduction-to-the-church message. We hope they have been helpful.
Today we’re talking about giving. God designed the local church to function in cooperation with the generosity of believers. In other words, we’re all in this together.
Online giving continues to grow in popularity. It’s an easy, secure way to give your tithes, offerings, directed gifts, and more.
Follow along to set up your online giving.
Here is what you do:
Log in to the Church Center app
At the bottom of the home screen, click on the “Give” icon
Enter the amount of your contribution and click “Next.”
Select the fund and the frequency, and set up your payment method. (If you choose to include the processing fee in your donation, select that option.) If you choose to pay by ACH drafts, there will be a verification period of 1-3 business days unless you choose to instantly verify your account using their secure verification processor, Plaid.
Click “Give $_____ now.”
Wasn’t that easy? The app also gives you access to your giving history.
