4:TWELVE is Open Door’s ministry for all students in grades 6-12. We minister to the students at Open Door and those in our community through relevant teaching, building of relationships through Christian fellowship, and serving our church and community in various ways. Our name comes from 1 Timothy 4:12 where it says “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.” Our goal is to teach our students these principles in a way that they will change this world.

Students in 5th or 6th grade are invited to join this life group that meets Sunday mornings during the 9:00AM and 10:45AM services (except for 5th Sunday’s, which are family services). During this time, students are given the opportunity to connect with one another and adult leaders.

Each Sunday from 4:12PM – 6:00PM we have a service for all 6th-12th graders. Our service combines a time for the students to connect with one another, the adult leaders, and to grow in their relationship with God. These events are a great introduction to 4:TWELVE and are packed with a ton of fun that anyone can enjoy!

Students in 6th-12 grade will also have the opportunity each week to connect in one of our life groups. The groups are broken down by grade, 6th through 8th, and 9th-12th. 6th through 8th grade groups are gender-specific to create an environment where students feel free to share and grow together. Each group is different but is guaranteed to include time to discuss God’s word, as well as time to connect with one another and the adult leaders.

Throughout the year we will provide opportunities for students to participate in various outings and events. This can include things like youth conferences, camps, retreats, fun one-day outings or mission trips. Please be sure to pay close attention to announcements and the bulletin each week, as well as the monthly calendar and newsletter which will keep you up to date!
