Fighting Human Trafficking both Locally and Abroad
Restore Hope is currently working directly with transition homes in Moldova. These homes rescue girls and boys leaving orphanages who turn them out on the streets at around age fourteen. Partnering with New Hope Moldova, we have been able to help build several transition homes, provide skills training and make plans for a summer camp in 2016 designed to educate the orphans about the dangers of human trafficking, the alternative of transition homes and the love of Jesus Christ. Every year we sponsor a camp in Moldova for at risk kids the last week of July. A team from the church also goes to work with the children, teaching them practical skills as well as showing them the love Christ.
Locally, we support Restore One and their Anchor House. Based in Greenville, NC, the Anchor House is a home that will house for boy’s that has been sexually exploited. We also educate anyone and everyone about human trafficking through conferences, seminars, fair and festival booths and social media. Our goals are to raise awareness, raise funds and rescue and restore those imprisoned by human trafficking in hopes of one day abolishing modern day slavery.
Support is partially gathered from the Brew 2 Rescue Cafe in Hertford, and also that serves coffee on Sunday mornings at our Edenton Campus.
